So we will begin with the women's preliminary final on Friday night between Lions FC and Eastern Suburbs.

Two goals, one in each half for Teagan Wright and giving East a spot in the grand final.

This was a terrific contest between these two, wasn't it? It was a game where East probably shaded the majority of the game, looked like they were in control, but Lions, particularly in the second half, they were banging on that door and they just weren't able to get the equaliser.

If they'd got the equaliser to get back to one, or maybe it's a different game, but when he's got that second goal, that was pretty much the end of the occasion.
And again, finals, especially knockout games like these preliminary finals, are built on moments.
And a big moment very, very early on where a mistake at the back, Evie Calhoun with the ramp pass, which is very, very rare for her, a back pass, which is intercepted by Tegan Wright and got one-on-one with Stella Campbell.
And that was a big, big hammer blow for Lions, who've been very, very good defensively as well in the last two months or so.
If anyone, if there's anyone else, you probably think, okay, you might have half a chance.
And that's no disrespect, but Tegan riding, especially that's a place that she knows how to score both ends of that pitch.
And she certainly knew where the back of the net was at the Southern end of, of luxury paint stadium.
And then East of that vault of defense, once they get in front, they are very, very difficult to break down.
I thought Scott Promell coming off the right wing, I thought was very, very good.
At the end of the day, the second goal, Tegan riding again on the end of a swinging movement, that was all she rode.
