At the same time, staff members have fielded multiple calls about increased traffic in that area due to the Highway 210 construction project.
Council members agreed to update the city's Safe Routes to School plan to explore funding options for improvements in the area.
They will also allow the schools to send proposals to the city for their own school signage.
The Breezy Point City Council approved the preliminary tax levy for 2027 at an increase of nearly 8%.
The council will hear public comment on the levy at its regular meeting in December and will approve the final levy and budget at that time.
