Cathal HanrattyGuestPaddyHostEdHostSo currently, do you both work together now still?
So tell us a bit about your current venture.
I mentioned a bit at the start.
So you buy businesses or scale business.
Tell us a little bit about what you both currently do.

So currently we're currently at the minute we are trying to build another business called Carol Evans where there's a big gap in the market and there always will be a big gap in the market around elderly living for care and so retirement villages as such they're in the UK they're in every other country in Europe other than us and we're currently trying to build that and again it's back to what we did with Irish Home Care it doesn't exist and we're saying, okay, there's a gap in the market for that.

And currently then we also, I've invested in a couple of businesses and I'm currently helping them to grow for scale and putting in operational stuff and coaching.

um and uh and kyle does the same thing for for a few of his businesses and we bounce each other off each other all the time what do you you know what do you think about that how do you look at that how do you see this what how would that work how would this work will that work you know so that sort of stuff is what we do kind of kind of all all the time i probably have um You know, I think building a business and selling it changes you.

I am probably interested now at this stage of building an intergenerational business.

You know what I mean? I think selling a business learns you a lot of lessons and growing a business learns you a lot of lessons.

think with an opportunity, like I think a lot of small businesses in Ireland They'll never sell.

And I think some business owners are very poor at understanding themselves how actually a business gets sold.

And when they go to sell it, they suddenly find that, holy shit, I've been running the business for 30 years and I actually can sell it now because I haven't put in any structures.

I don't have any operational procedures, policies, all that sort of stuff you need to actually sell a business.
