A good friend of mine messaged me the other day and she said, first the Cornell seven and now Sam Wood.

And we always joke about the island that we would like to live on, where we would invite all of the beautiful women that we know.

We talked about the Sam and Snezana Wood case and the alleged strangulation of Snezana by her husband.

And I immediately said, strangulation is rarely the first time because statistically it's an escalation.

Nothing would ever justify putting your hands around somebody else's throat and cutting off their airway.

And a number of different things went through my mind at the time that I said that.

And I'll get into them a little bit more, but I also want to share how, I guess, shocking it is that even I would say something like that because I have been in her shoes.
