You can be doing everything right and still not feel like yourself. That's the conversation Dr. Brook has with Ariana Thacker, a chemical engineer, venture capitalist, and founder of MoldCo, a health…
So it's always good to do your diligence and the home you're living in, especially if you're spending 90% plus of your time indoors in that environment and you're breathing the air in there and we take 20,000 breaths a day, just confirming that your environment is clean and it's safe for you and your loved ones.
As you were sharing that about the filters and the HVAC, and I'm just thinking about how much when our air gets turned on, when the AC unit goes on or heater, depending on what time of year somebody's listening to this, it's blowing all of those particles into your environment.
And just like Ariana said, 90% of your life maybe a little bit less if people are working 40, 80 hour work week away from the home, but you're spending a lot of time in your house, in your environment.
And if you're already doing all the things to track your sleep and optimize your sugar levels and get your fitness in and do all of these things, which you know I am 100% about doing, not to the point that it becomes obsession, but to the point that you're operating from peace and not pressure.
This is just another component, just another key for you to actually add some peace into the equation.

I just needed to say that to my listener who might be already spiraling going, oh my gosh, I think I might have this.
It's something to spend a few hours of your day, maybe on a weekend, just looking into and seeing if exposure could be there.
Just given, especially a lot of the emerging health data coming out and what we're seeing from our biobank and also our team's research, it's definitely worthwhile to see if mold exposure could be happening.
in your home, just like you would fine tune your diet and get a clean water filter and more.
Because a lot of people will invest in organic and non GMO and no seed oils and all of those buzzwords.
But this is something to just invest in just a little bit of time, some financial resources, how beautiful that there is potentially.
some financial assistance to make stuff like that happen so that you can live in clean environments should there be something in there that is not welcome, that needs to be evicted out of your home immediately.
Yeah, there's a lot of, I would say, misinformation and misconceptions about mold online.
And it would be good to go into some of those misconceptions, too, before it does become like an anxiety-inducing spiral.
