You would also hear me being called Miss Amanda or Miss Cliet, depending on what age they are.

My kindergartners know me as Miss Amanda as I come in and help support them in the classroom.

Quiet as I have a family engagement room at school, a resource room that families can come and choose grade level books to help meet their AR levels and their goals, their reading goals.

And I host multiple events throughout the year in my family center to help bring families in, learn more about the school, answer any questions that they have to help support their learner at home.
You know, family engagement is one of our pillars for the campaign for grade level reading, which is why we're doing Suncoast Remake Learning Days and why we have you here today.
So I want you to share with us a little bit about how your school and you got involved with Remake Learning Days.
Why did that seem like an opportunity worth latching onto for you guys? And where has it gone from, you know, start to now?

So we are a Title I school, which means we have a higher poverty level that we qualify for.

to help supporting our families at home, giving them the skills that they need, navigating the computers.

But by the time I'm done at Christmas, the budget that I have to host those events and give to our families is generally gone.
