Come explore what can happen after we make a vulnerable move - tell the truth, share something we’ve created, perform, speak-up, or allow ourselves to be properly seen. Sometimes the brave part isn’t…

I'm, I'm really kind of speaking more to my people, kind of like I do here but in written form, um, around the experience of, of what it's like being us.

You know, the pain points of, uh, exhaustion, overwhelm, relent- relentlessness doing and, um, emotional, uh, ups and downs, and highs and lows.

And I've been posting, writing about that, trying to kind of articulate what I think it is I see, and my experience and what's going on.

Sharing it with people, going, "Look, this is a thing, right? This hurts, right? Hurts for me, probably hurts for you.

Um, how's that land with you?" Essentially that's the message and this is a new way of engaging with the world.

It's me advocating for what I do with my business and the, the things I help people with and, um, it involves showing up, it involves expressing, it involves writing, and it involves calibrating, um, to the world around me in as much as I had to write a thing and put it up there which is edgy and vulnerable and risky 'cause I might get it wrong.

[laughs] You know, the perfectionist in me wants to write the perfect post, express it in the perfect way in order that it reaches someone and helps them with their pain.

You know, and that's a lot of pressure to put on myself first time around, and that is the trick I think people like maybe you and I fall for, is trying to get things right first time.

You know, impossibly high standards which, which high standards are good, right? You know? [laughs] Nothing wrong with that.

It's when they become excessive and when they become a, a stick to beat ourselves with and, and I think this is what was happening.

So I, I wrote my first post in this kind of vein, in this style with this kind of tonality, this sort of, "Ah, here's the pain.

And I did, I wrote it and it felt like an effort to write it 'cause I was like, "Oh, I'm limiting myself here." I wanna talk about all the things and all the excitement and make it really complicated and in-depth and meaningful and intense, and I really wanted to pour out my whole kind of, um, ADHD brain into the experience, you know, which is what I've done in the past in my posts which is kind of a bit much to be honest.

Like this, here's this guy and he's like really into this and here's this whole tsunami of information.

How do I simplify and articulate and make it really easy to, uh, to kind of, um, meet people where they're at? So I had this kind of, um, framing on it and yeah, I wrote the first post and it felt like I was kind of pulling my teeth out.

Oh, this feels strained, feels clunky, feels..." You know, it just didn't feel easy.

It's not that it didn't feel good or it felt wrong and icky and horrible, it was just it didn't feel easy.
