[upbeat music] Jordan, this week the industry is abuzz about a certain topic that I thought had gone away, but man, it has come back to the surface, and we are talking the forward-facing sonar debate.
Yep, the video that everyone's been talking about this week.
Talking about bass fishing is changing, we're gonna talk about the Mark Daniels Jr. forward-facing sonar video.
So what is this video about, Dave?
Well, for those of you who have not seen the video, head over to Mark Daniels Jr.'s YouTube channel.
Mark posted a video that was titled "Forward-Facing Sonar Must Be Banned." Now, that's probably a little surprising to some of you coming from a guy who admittedly has won a ton of money using forward-facing sonar.
But the video breaks it down very concisely, very precisely on exactly why he has come to this conclusion, and, you know, his opinion is what it is.
You can, you can decipher it yourself.
I think he did a very professional job of making the argument.
Uh, there's been a lot of videos out there where people are just like, "Ban it, ban it, ban it," whatever the case is.
Mark really took his time with this one.
He had some very logical and insightful reasons, in my opinion, on why he feels this way.
I know Mark is his own man, but I'm sure these discussions have come up in conversations with his roommates, Jacob Wheeler, Dustin Connell, Adrian Avena.
Um, I don't think Mark just-- I could be wrong, just my opinion, but I, I really don't feel like Mark just, this wasn't a flyer.
I think this was, was thought out, right? Like, I don't think Mark just decided, "Hey, I'm gonna go out to my garage, and I just feel, you know, inclined to make this video right now." I think there's some reasoning behind this.
This is probably something that he has been thinking about, and I think it's very evident by the way the video was laid out that it was, it was well thought out, and I respect his opinion, man.
I don't know how you don't respect what he had to say, no matter what side of the fence you land on as far as, you know, utilizing or not utilizing forward-facing sonar, and I think the caveat is on the professional level.
Right.
Yeah, I think that's all fair.
Though honestly, some of his arguments I found more compelling than others.
Some of them I didn't think was that great of an argument.
I think we have a whole separate video on that in the future.
But yeah, as far as just him having well-thought-out arguments, that's definitely true.
Like you said, he laid out his case very, in a very professional way.
He's not just totally trashing the stuff.
