Following Great Leaders Without Becoming Them

I would love to get in, you've had shifting paths, shifting roles, all the adversity that comes with that when you're kind of in this constant state of development, but then you're constantly in new roles, right? So I have this quote here.

I wanted to just get your reaction from it.

It says storms don't cancel the climb, keeping in line with the ascend theme, right? Storms don't cancel the climb.

They define it.

How does that relate to your journey?

I really loved what our keynote speaker said today about life happens in the climb.

It doesn't happen at the summit.

And I think that's so true.

I think there have been many times in my career path where there have been storms or there have been moments where I've questioned everything.

I've questioned my ability to be a speech therapist, or I've questioned my ability to lead people or any, any of those things.

And I think, you know, being able to recognize that that's, that's life.

Like we're always going to have struggles.

And if we're not having struggles, then there's something wrong.

Right.

Like, Um, that's how we get better.

It's how we grow.

I've, I've tried to remain really open to feedback.

So, and, and to those, and to learning from those moments that just feel like, I don't know if I should be here.
