It's also intended to imply that they are vulnerable creatures, and indeed, as humans, one of the most important things for us to come to terms with is that we are vulnerable.
Vulnerability isn't just something that we might become or that we have to protect against.
Our, our vulnerability is what makes us available to be hurt, available to be harmed, to be attacked.
And as humans, as opposed to other animals, our vulnerability is not just, or probably for many of us, even mostly in the realm of physicality.
[clears throat] We are, however, uh, not nearly as easily protected against the emotional harm that comes when, especially it comes unexpectedly from people that we love the most, from people in our families and so forth.
And so when we talk today about vulnerability, it's important for us to recognize that, uh, we come by our vulnerability honestly, in that we are born this way.
And, uh, and at the same time, it is that vulnerability that puts us in the most powerful position for creativity, oddly enough.
I'd like to think that I don't wanna be vulnerable in my life ever with anybody.
