And so now let's go to the video.

All right.

The video was put together as a physical experiment.

So what you don't see in the video was an experiment that I did with the kids at my camp that I run in the summers.

And I had the kids get defended full court, 94 feet.

Right.

And they had from the sideline to the, to the, to the elbow all the way down court, the only distance that they can bring up the ball and you're going to be covered one-on-one.

full court.

But I told the kids on defense that the only thing you can do is shuffle your feet.

You can only slide your feet.

That's the only thing you can do.

Try to cover your man, sliding your feet while the offensive player was able to go as fast as they wanted to.

And so I ran the experiment for a couple of times.

I had about maybe a good 26, almost 30 players doing this.

Sorry about that.

Let me just turn that off.

And, uh, And so they realized that they couldn't cover their man.

So I stopped all the players and I asked the defenders and I said, hey guys, can anyone tell me what went wrong? And they all said the same thing.

By shuffling our feet, we weren't able to cover too much distance.

And these are smart kids.

They said the right thing.

And so now that's when you see the video.

The video now says, hey guys, if I cross my feet over and turn and run, Will I cover more distance? And they all agreed.

And they said, yeah.

And so that's how the whole video came about.
