And Katie, what are you cussing and/or discussing this week?

For our listeners, you can, I'm gonna go ahead and say sign up for Patreon, and you can see the project in question.
I only do our intro, so no one can watch this.

Okay, there you go.

Many of our listeners probably know that I recently returned from a knitting cruise that was an 18-day vacation, and I picked making this shawl because, and I quote my own brain process, "It would be so much faster than making a sweater." I have been working on this shawl since the week before I left, which was now four weeks ago.

I worked on it for the entire time before the trip, literally the entire eight-hour flight over there, literally pretty much all day every day for the entire two weeks that I was there, including, like, bus trips, people-watching in foreign lands.

I showed it to the pattern designer who created the pattern that I am making.

The part I missed in all this was that, A, I would be hauling around a literal backpack full of yarn, because the yarn does not magically become smaller or lighter when you work it into a project.
In a different form, yeah.

A different form, and that if you start a project with 12 stitches, but you add six stitches every two rows, it grows a lot, and this project is now approximately two and a half sweaters worth of knitting, and it's not finished.
So-I'm just gonna say that the, what the best laid plans of mice and men, or the, what is it, humans make plans and God laughs? However you wanna put that.
