Brandon McCarty

picked up archery after your first year, right? When did you pick up archery?

I would say probably the third year I was hunting.

Um, again, my wife's uncle, he, uh, got me into archery.

I went out and started shooting with him a lot and liked it.

Um, he had a, I think it was a, uh, force G five bow or something that was brand new.

Uh, he gave it to me, let me use it.

And that's the bow I got my first archery kill with.

It was a, it was a pretty good sized doe.

Um, that's another thing, you know, you go out with a rifle and you shoot one, it's an overwhelming feeling, but shooting one with a, with a bow is a whole nother, Different level.

Yep.

Yeah.

Different level.

A lot

more, a lot more practice and skill and everything goes into it.

Um, but yeah, I've got real into archery too.

Uh, of course here, I don't know how it is in every other state.

Um, but we have separate seasons, you know, like we have archery, which you can hunt through all the seasons and that goes on to rifle and then muzzleloader and then back to archery.

So.

Yeah, I think we start with archery, of course, and then from there we go to muzzleloader.

So you may not know, I'm out of Virginia, Mike is out of West Virginia, and Chris is out of Illinois.

But, yeah, we start with archery and then go to muzzleloader and then rifle season here.

And then it comes back.

See, ours

is different than that.

Ours goes archery and it goes gun season.
