In next week's episode, I have a brilliant guest who, during our interview, mentions K.A.P. and the positive affect it's had on her life. I hadn't heard of K.A.P. before chatting with her so in this…
Sean GillenGuestJohnHostWelcome to AllDHD or Just A Bit Weird.
Each week I'm going to be talking about the neurodivergent traits I've got and why I've been going through the process of seeking an official diagnosis for my neurodivergence in my late 40s.
I'll also be talking with some brilliant neurodivergent guests who'll be sharing their stories of ADHD and autism too.
Trigger warning! I do cover some pretty full-on topics at times that some people may find upsetting, and please bear in mind that although I've now received my official ADHD diagnosis, I haven't received my autism diagnosis yet, and I'm not qualified in either of these things, so apologies if I make a few mistakes along the way.
And it ended up being a brilliant episode.
However...
During the episode, we talked a lot about the fact that this guest is having, or has had in the past, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
And I also figured at the end of the episode, when I finished recording, I hadn't looked into what that is and where it's available.
And I know that as I have definitely had a history of misusing drugs in the past, I wanted to make sure that I did my due diligence on this and got the information together to talk about what ketamine-assisted psychotherapy actually is So I reached out to Sean Gillen from EULAS, spelled E-U-L-A-S, in Scotland, and that is Scotland's first psychedelic therapy program.
And luckily, Sean was happy to come on and talk me through exactly what ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is.
Don't forget to get to the end of the episode to hear me celebrate you and your little wins.
