Why did you agree to do this? And it started back in November when I was running for CU DAD's Soil and Water Conservation District.

I was approached by a person from the Bernalillo County Republican Party and asked me if I would consider it because of the work that I have done concerning elections, campaign finance, ethics, and transparency.

And I told them that I was honored by being asked and that I would pray for them to find someone because I was currently in a race.

And after I was successful with the race, they came back to me and said, Ramona, we really need someone that has your background, that has knowledge of all of the different aspects of the Secretary of State's office.

Um, I have been a declined to state since 22 because of the work I've been doing.

I felt it was, um, Anything I do, I want to make sure people understand it's not a partisan issue.

I had written an article several years ago about not having choices as voters.

And one of the important things about our republic is that everyone's supposed to have a voice, right?

Well, Ms. Goldsby, if I may interrupt you just for a second here, because the choice will be between you and, as I mentioned earlier, Amanda Lopez Askin.

And so I'm curious what you tell folks or voters when they ask you about your experience in election administration.
