I already talked about it multiple times, but the belief that I'm worthless is something that has deep roots in my psyche.
At least now, it's more visible.
A small thing can trigger an emotional bout, so I have no choice but take a look at it.
In the past, I buried those feelings.
What I noticed more recently is that this feeling of unworthiness is tightly entangled with guilt.
It is natural to feel guilty when we made a mistake or did something to hurt someone even if it's unintentional.
We reflect on the incident, apologize or do whatever we need to do to remedy the situation, learn from it, then we should move on.
I know that in theory.
Or it doesn't matter how much guilt you feel, unless the other party forgives you, you are not off the hook.
It prevents you from living in the present.
It's embedded in the fabric of society.
Even in personal relationships, guilt tripping is a tactic used quite often by people to get what they want.
