Well, I'll give you the two-minute flyover here as soon as I turn to Mark 1 here.

I don't want to keep on planting in everyone's head like, yeah, this is Peter's version, because, again, we're not 100 percent sure of that.

But, you know, there's pretty good reasons to believe that this is how Peter remembered his time with Jesus.

And then he's gonna call, this whole passage is basically about him calling his first four disciples.

and they go to the village of Capernaum, which is a small kind of fishing and agricultural village on the Sea of Galilee, and they spend like half the time there.

First they go to a synagogue, and immediately Jesus starts demonstrating his authority.

authority first over an unclean spirit in the synagogue, he casts it out, and the unclean spirit, in line with what we were saying last week, where there's this question, who is jesus and of course we got the spoiler when god spoke from heaven last week but um but here this unclean spirit calls him the holy one of god right

it's pretty fun to see the authority of jesus in uh in such an anti-authority time where everyone thinks any leadership is toxic, any decision is abusive.
