**NOW** Killer Mom Trial VERDICT WATCH: Judge Issues Last Ditch “Tuey Rodriguez” Charge After Jury Reports 2nd Deadlock

The jury came back from lunch with another note, letting the judge know they remain deadlocked and cannot reach a verdict.  The judge issued his second and final instruction to the jury, reading from what’s known as the “Tuey Rodriguez” charge, encouraging jurors to reconsider their positions.   It’s a controversial tool that is allowed under Massachusetts state law, but it remains to be seen just how effective it will be, with jurors deliberating now for more than 27 hours over the past five days.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
