And so one of the first things that I want to talk about is being in a spot or choosing a location with somewhat like neutral colors and really good light and then bringing in pops of color as you need.

And so one of the things I do with all of my sessions is we rent a private studio.

A lot of times for therapists, it ends up being an actual home because we need a place with like a good couch, good seating.

They often will have like a desk or a really nice table that can have some working photos and working shots.

But it's really important for therapists that you create photos that feel like I almost want to think of it like a day in the life.

If someone were to follow you around your day-to-day, obviously not being in your client sessions with you, but if someone were to follow you around your day-to-day, what types of things could they see? They'd likely see you sitting in a chair actually doing a therapy session.

They'd likely see you in the kitchen having a coffee break or pouring some coffee.

We want to think about how can we showcase who you are as a person, the things that you would do on a typical day in your photos.

And so it's really important that you have a space that can actually hold all of that.

Because if you go into a photo studio where there's a stool, a chair, and a white backdrop, you're not really going to be able to create those same vibes.

It's usually like an actual home through Peerspace or through other home site listings that I have.

Because one thing I like to do is I don't want to have, unless it's very on brand for the person, if the person has a very... bright bold modern architecture like I'm just thinking like bright bold colors like if that's really on brand for them then of course we would try and find a location that matches that but for most clients we want to find a space that will not stand out too much right because we do want we want to incorporate items that feel specific to that person which I'll get into in a You get to bring in the pops of color.

You get to control the color that you bring in, the styles that you bring in when the home has more of a neutral vibe.
