and I do branding for other people, and I've gone through many iterations of my branding myself, I realized that these brand strategy docs, the ones I used to reference, these brand guidelines, the brand voice, the brand, like, yes, those things are important.

Now that I think about branding so often, there's four things that I really truly feel like if you can understand these four things and implement them inside of your business, inside of your brands, this is actually how you create a strong brand.

You don't need to overcomplicate what it looks like to have a brand, right? These four things are really truly the things that I feel like are the foundation that the rest of your brand is built off of.

And one thing I want to encourage you to think about, too, a really big mindset shift for me that really made my brand feel less complicated and less overwhelming.

was understanding that my brand is going to go through many, many, many iterations.

I think for a long time, one of the things that kept me stuck inside of my brand or like not feeling like I had a strong brand was that I felt like I needed to have a strong brand and that it needed to stay the same.

I had this idea that my brand had to basically stay consistent in that way, and I couldn't make changes to it in order to have a strong brand.

That's how you keep your brand feeling relevant, feeling aligned, having it build connection with people.

The only way you can do that is if your brand is constantly growing and constantly adapting and constantly changing as you change and as your business changes.

But that doesn't mean that you're constantly having to change your brand colors or update your website design or update your brand visuals in order for your brand to grow.

The things we're gonna talk about today are the aspects of your brand that people are most connected to, but it's also the parts of your brand that will evolve.

They can change over time if you feel like your colors no longer align with who you are and who you serve, but they definitely don't have to.

I'm a website designer, brand strategist, and brand photographer for therapists, counselors, and service-based business owners.
