we're approaching Labor Day here in a couple of days, and I want to talk about the State of the American Working Class 2026.

I've done that occasionally over the years, and I think it's worthwhile taking a look at it, not just what's happened over the past month or several months or even year, under Trump, but the bigger picture, particularly since artificial intelligence is pushing the labor market and the class into a totally new era here.

And it's not very pretty, not just in the job losses that are coming, but in the whole nature of work itself and the job insecurity and all the other negatives about work that this new capitalist technology, artificial intelligence, is going to produce.

I also want to talk about continuing as we have been about what's going on in the financial markets, particularly now the Treasury markets and the global currency markets and the instability that that's been producing.

And then, of course, over the weekend, we had the finance ministers, the G20, and that was a big chaotic breakup.

I'll share with you some numbers from my forthcoming book, Twilight American Imperialism, about treasuries.
