Dan Ahrens joins AlphaNooner on the move for a quick post-Labor Day look at what could move markets this week. We cover the latest in psychedelics, including Eli Lilly's deal for Beckley and what big…
Dan AhrensGuestMackenzie PetersonHostUm, so maybe to start on the psychedelic side, I, I feel like, you know, some great quick stories that we've seen.
The Etai-Beckley acquisition going through is some great news.
Again, something that we've kind of obviously had on the radar for a while now, but great to see the completion of that deal getting done.
Um-

It's, um, just more, um, acceptance, um, and on a really big scale when you see a, a company like Eli Lilly taking over Etai-Beckley.

Some people were crying that, "Oh, I think it might've been worth more." That always happens with M&A deals.

I see it as a, a big positive and, um, mostly big reinforcement of big pharma needing to embrace alternative treatments and what we can see in psychedelic treatments of all types.
Mm-hmm.

But, um, yeah, some great stuff that we're seeing there.
Congrats to the Etai-Beckley team.
I know that takes a lot of time to get through.
Um, but ultimately see it as a very positive move, and we'll be interested to see if we see more M&A come through in the future.
Um, did also wanna highlight on another psychedelic story in the space that's moving.
Definium Therapeutics, uh, looks like they got their LSD candidate some fast track or breakthrough, um, therapy designation.
Uh, fantastic to see for the major depressive disorder.
So again, another, um, positive, I think, story building on the, the trend and story that we've talked about previously with, um, the government kind of coming in to produce kind of these, um, tailwinds to help the industry kind of open up, get these things reviewed, and get them to people who need it.
Um, and then yet just to mention, we're also pretty near...
