Writers for the Movies Have Been Named

Here's something for you.

So The Young and the Restless just announced new head writers, and they started actually a couple days ago.

And one of them is Jamie Giddens, who's somebody I know from Daytime Confidential, who is nominated not once, but twice for daytime Emmys for two different soap operas for Beyond the Gates and Days of Our Lives.

I mean, this is how prolific he is right now.

There's more.

If you haven't seen it, according to Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera News, all these places, Jamie Giddens will be also co-writing the All My Children movies.

This is not, this is not a drill.

This is for real.

This is I, him and Ron Carlavardi, who I know also from, from, uh, or Emmy winner from, writer from Days of Our Lives, One Life to Live, General Hospital.

So here is Here's the news.

Ron Calavardi and Jamie Giddens are tapped to write them.

The long-awaited All My Children revival slated to air on Lifetime.

Lifetime.

They've been tapped to write the first of two movies for the network that will take fans back to Pine Valley.

It is a passion project.

Of course, we've reported here before.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who were Haley and Mateo Santos on the show, are producing the Lifetime movies through their production company, Milojo Productions.

It's just like, I just, I'm excited for so many reasons.

And I'm very curious to what they're going to focus on.

Because Susan Lucci's been out there, out and about, you know, like praising, like, yeah, they should bring them back.

And yeah, you know.

I don't, the only thing they're saying so far is Erica Kane will be in it in some form and Maria Santos Gray, my girl Eva LaRue.

So that's all they're saying.

That's all we know.

So I'm excited.
