Ronald HicksHostDave DwyerHostWell, it's what I love about particularly this time of year with apologies to our listeners and viewers from around the country, around North America.
This is your first, I think, certainly as Archbishop of New York, your first Marathon Sunday.
We talk about a cloud of witnesses that we see in Scripture and in our prayers for the day, a cloud of witnesses that is urging us on as we run our race.
And that's One day of the year where New Yorkers put everything else aside, all the cynicism and everything else, and they're just, they're pro cheering on.

And I don't know if you know this, but I actually went to the marathon this year.

But there is a connection between faith and sports and running a race and persevering and keep on going there are so many connections that you can make between that and then when you experience it in new york city where so many people gather in a spirit of Brother and sisterhood of a family coming together and everyone just rooting each other on.
And I've been going pretty much every year since I've lived here because I like that aspect of it.
