You know, one of the things that we talk about and- and Dr. Hahn and I have actually done, like, some presentations together and I've done them elsewhere, and one of the things that we talk about, and I know it sounds kinda harsh sometimes, but the- the goal is not necessarily to feel better.
Like, that's hopefully the goal longer term, but is actually to get better at feeling, so tolerating those emotions so you can engage in value-driven action, we can pursue our goals, hopefully leave treatment one day, you know, live the dream, all of that.
And so we're helping them to get better at feeling their emotional experiences and practicing sitting with that on some level.
Right, so that their distress, which is overwhelming, becomes kind of run-of-the-mill-Problem-
I'm thinking about the co-occurring mental health diagnoses we so frequently see, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and I'm wondering if you could say more about two things, how these co-occurring disorders can sometimes interfere with treatment.
