Is Gen Z actually disliking discovery calls — or is that just the story everyone in the wedding industry is telling themselves right now? With 51% of engaged couples now Gen Z and only 15% of them…

This episode has been a long time coming because even though Gen Z is the majority now that is true of the market, but it doesn't actually mean that it's true of your inbox, at least not yet.

And so I want you to enter into this episode, understanding that like the market is one thing, your price point is another.

So if you are currently booking at like 3K or you're booking at 5K, you are probably meeting Gen Z couples today.

But if you're booking at like 10K plus, then you're mostly working with millennials still, and you probably will be for a couple more years.

It's because this is coming and because the behavior that everyone is calling Gen Z behavior, it's not actually staying in that one generation.

Like for me personally, I'm like, if I get a call from a number that I don't know, I'm not answering.

And a lot of times, even if I get a call from someone I do know, I'm still not going to answer it in that moment.

I'll probably text them later, right? So call avoidance is at like 72% for millennials at 58% for Gen X.

It's like a how hiring a photographer works now in today's market kind of episode.

And I want to name what's actually changing whenever it comes to discovery calls because it really isn't about the calls at all.
