What if the room you work in is shaping every idea you have? In this episode of AI Made Simple, Carmen Skipworth sits down with Dame Marie Diamond — a globally recognized Feng Shui master…
So Marie, for someone discovering your work for the first time, how do you explain the connection between our physical environment and the results we create in our lives?
And of course, you know, people are always surprised how find out that their environment is so affecting them, right, affecting their mindset.
But I think we all know that really, on a deep level, because there are always places we're going to visit, and we're like, Oh, my God, I love it here, right? And you'll feel happy there.
And then there are other places, there's like, I don't want to ever come back here, like there's something off.
So we do have an intuitive feeling to understand that some places are good for us and others are not so good for us.
And that's the first thing that we all know, right? And even in your own space, there are places in your home that you love sitting and you're relaxed and you're happy.
So from that perspective, we know that is true for each one of us, but you have to understand that this knowledge has been studied in depth in China for more than 3,000 years to see that everything around us is also affecting us on a subconscious level.
And the Feng Shui masters that have been around for thousands of years were very aware that there's three parts how we create things.
And the first part is we create things through what we call a spiritual level.
And that's our connection with God, connection through prayer, meditation, through rituals, that we are able to create something.
The second part is we know now through quantum physics and self-help development that there is also that we as a human being, we also are creating through our thoughts, through our feelings, through our behavior, through our actions.
But the aspect that is the most underestimated in the Western world, perhaps more than in the Eastern world, is that your environment, the home where you live, sleep, work in, that that is also affecting your thoughts, your actions, your feelings, your behavior, and ultimately also your connection with God and the universe.
just give an example, a very simple example of clutter, right? So if you are living in a space that is full of clutter or you're kind of on the edge of hoarding everything, right, from your past, then if you look at your life, you won't have a happy life because you're holding on to old things from the past.
So if we then declutter and organize things well, what happens is then we start feeling better, like our mindset is more open, we feel more positive.
And over the last, I would say, tens of years, More studies have been done, for example, on how decluttering is impacting the mental health of people.
Also in China, studies have been done that they have seen that certain homes and the impact of that home can affect the blood pressure of people.
So we also, and that's one of the things that I did when I was younger and started in feng shui, I was telling people that even it affects your brain waves.
