Arsenal READY Second Guimaraes Bid! Shock Liverpool Raid & Mexican Wonderkid Eyed! | Transfer Daily

But the one that we're all talking about at the moment is Bruno Guimarães, the captain of Newcastle United.

Still heavily, heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.

Today it is being reported that Arsenal made an initial bid of around about 55 million pounds, which was rejected, even though that's been, um, in some places said that that's not happened.

However, widely reported today by some of the, the biggest out there for Brits, so all of these guys, that Arsenal will be returning with a second bid to sign Bruno Guimarães.

Um, they're being encouraged by Guimarães and his representatives.

Uh, Bruno, he's been very, very loyal to Newcastle.

Their player of the season yar- last year.

However, no Champions League football, not even any European football for Newcastle, um, next season.

Lots of top players being linked with a move away.

Bruno is looking on it and thinking the time has come to move on.

Arsenal's very, very interested in signing him indeed.

They don't wanna miss the opportunity.

Remember, they wanted to buy him even before he went to Newcastle.

He chose to go to Newcastle instead.

Um, there are other teams interested as well.

Man City are watching the situation.

Even though they just spent 130 million pounds on Elliot Anderson, probably doubtful.

Uh, Liverpool also said to be interested in Bruno Guimarães as well.

So Arsenal will wanna try and move fast to get this one done.

28, remember, and significantly doesn't have long left on his contract.

A real decision for Newcastle to make.

Do they dig their heels in and say, "Absolutely no way are we selling our captain," and maybe face a similar situation like what they had last year? Whereby doing that, um, with the situation with Alexander Isak, they missed out really on the, you know, the player they wanted to get, which was U- um, Ekitike 'cause Liverpool bought him, and then they ended up getting Isak anyway, um, because Isak threw his toys out of the pram.

So this is gonna be an interesting situation and one that we're gonna have to watch.

If they don't get Bruno Guimarães, Arsenal, they may go back in for Tonali.

Um, Sandro Tonali, we know that Arsenal have been interested in him since January.
