This Simple Practice Has Transformed My Suffering

So at this conference, Megan talked about redemptive suffering, which is a phrase that a lot of us have heard, and maybe we just nodded along to it without really knowing what to do with that.

We know that Paul says something about filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ.

We know that suffering isn't wasted when it's united to the cross.

But that idea can stay very distant if you don't actually have a structure to actually live it out day to day.

So Megan gave hers a structure, and I have built mine around the same shape.

Every day of the week gets an intention.

Every inconvenience, every hard conversation, every moment of physical or emotional discomfort that day gets offered for that person or group or purpose before it happens, and again when it does happen.

So I'm not exactly sure what Megan's last name is.

I should have done the research before I sat down to film, but I just wanted to get this out.

I'm gonna track her information down, and I'll put it in the link below, 'cause I think it deserves more than just, "Oh, this lady named Megan." [chuckles] But this idea is what I heard from her.

I didn't, I don't want anyone to think that I invented it.

It's something that I really did receive, and I've just been living inside of it long enough now that I can tell you what it actually looks like from the inside.

So here's the week, day by day, and then why it works.
