And when she later filled notebook after notebook with her conversations with Jesus, she wrote them in the plain language of a farm girl.

As a teenager, she worked as a housekeeper to help support her family, and then one night, she was 19 years old, she went to a dance in a park, and she went with her sister.
Now, in the middle of the music playing, she saw Jesus standing beside her, stripped and covered in wounds, and He asked her how long He would have to put up with her and how long she would keep putting Him off.
She laid face down on the floor in front of the Blessed Sacrament and was told to go to Warsaw to enter a convent.
But convent after convent, she was turned away because she was poor, she had no education, and she couldn't even bring a dowry.
Now, eventually, the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy accepted her, and she spent the rest of her very short life working as a cook, gardener, and the sister who answered the door.
Most of the women that she lived with had no idea what was happening between her and God.
He gave her the image of Divine Mercy, the one with the red and pale rays coming from His heart.
