Recent conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East haveunderscored a growing reality for defense planners: low-cost unmanned systems are reshaping modern warfare and placing unprecedented demands on…
Woodrow Bellamy IIIHost[whooshing sound] So Brett, can you start with an introduction to who PowerUS is, including a brief history of the company, where you're based, and some of the primary technologies you provide for aerospace and defense applications?
So PowerUS is a American defense technology company that focuses on autonomous systems, drones, counter-drone technology.
Uh, we're really focused on building, uh, a American manufacturing base around the technologies that are defining the next generation of warfare, and that's, that's drone technology.
And we, we really see, uh, the company as one of the very few first movers in revolutionizing, uh, America's industrial base as it relates to building drone defense technology.
The, um, you know, build- being able to build systems at massive scale, which has been very difficult, I think, for, for many other companies, uh, because they've focused on these, you know, very large, exquisite, very expensive systems.
And, and our focus is on exquisite systems that can be built, um, um, at, at massive scale.
So, so being produced in the, the thousands per month is what we wanna get to as a, as a company, and, and we need to build out, uh, the facilities to, to do that.
And, um, and the reason we, we feel that that is where, uh, manufacturing is going in the defense world is because we, uh, we saw it firsthand in Ukraine on the battlefield, and that was where the company was, was really created in, in, in the background.
We saw firsthand how quickly drones were changing the battlefield, how inexpensive they could be, but how effective they could be at the same time, and how difficult it was for traditional defense systems to keep up.
So in just about a year, we went from an idea of the founders, um, you know, in, in the war zone, to a real defense company with, with manufacturing and operational capabilities and, and major contracts, and, and as of last week, a public listing on NASDAQ.
Uh, we wanna build the systems that give American soldiers and, and our allies the capabilities to move at the speed of war.
And so that includes everything from our Guardian family of counter-UAS interceptors, as well as the tactical one-way attack drones that we build.
We wanna build out the manufacturing base, the software, the autonomy, the supply chain infrastructure that allows the systems to, to be produced in, in large numbers.
