Woodrow Bellamy IIIHostSo in this episode, I will be featuring a presentation that was given during the summit by Paul Beaker.
And his presentation is highly relevant to our topic and a good way to start the season as this presentation about designing and manufacturing military ground vehicles at GM Defense.
provides a overview of GM Defense's current and future product roadmap for military ground vehicle technologies, which includes platforms such as the infantry squad vehicle, which is a tactical military variant of one of GM's commercial vehicles.
He also provides some insight into their actual design and manufacturing process, including some of the robotic technology GM uses in its factories for inspection and assembly.
Throughout his presentation, you'll hear Paul refer to some of the images from the slides that he used during this PowerPoint presentation, but he gives enough detail to provide insight on each vehicle and design and manufacturing process and some of the hybrid electric vehicle technology that GM Defense is working on as well.
I also featured some of the images from his presentation in our podcast notes.
as well as the podcast posted on techbriefs.com if you want to see those.
And again, you can view this full presentation as well as others that we're giving during SAE's Aerospace Materials and Manufacturing Digital Summit.

And now here is Paul Beeker, Chief Engineer, Advanced Product Development at GM Defense, giving an introduction and overview of their military ground vehicles, as well as their design and manufacturing processes.
