And General Motors is bringing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to its newest truck software.

The redesigned system debuts in the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

Drivers will be able to use CarPlay or Android Auto in a split screen alongside GM's own vehicle information and controls.

And now for a look at the markets.

What's the lowest cost vehicle we can find for every mission in the organization and source that will adequately do the job safely and reliably do the job? You know, you don't need a Chevy 1500 level Silverado or Tahoe type vehicle for, you know, administrative purposes.

For just to your point of like driving around, you need probably a compact sedan and somebody could do just fine with with that kind of with that kind of vehicle.

And whatever way it happened, we ended up hitting each other corner to corner and spun off each other.

The automaker says its new split screen system lets drivers use CarPlay or Android Auto alongside vehicle gauges, like fuel and tire pressure.

The system debuts in the 2027 Silverado and Sierra.

GM has not confirmed whether CarPlay returns to EVs, which now run GM's in-house software.

Meanwhile, one of GM's dealers in Arizona is suing the automaker and its captive lender, alleging fraud, racial discrimination, and retaliation.

Police said the driver of the vehicle was identified as Gutierrez and official officers determined that Gutierrez and the man had been arguing while at a gathering nearby.

The release said witnesses saw Gutierrez leave in his blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck, but returned shortly after and intentionally hit the man with his truck.

Gutierrez was taken into custody by the Rock Island Police Department, and he had his first appearance in Rock Island County Circuit Court on Monday.

Associate Judge Michelle Fitzsimmons determined probable cause, and Gutierrez's preliminary hearing is set for September 22nd.
