So one thing I normally do for these episodes is I'll put together a guitar tone just to have with me.

So if I want to plunk something out or kind of figure out, oh, what is that thing? I have something that's remotely appropriate.

And for this one, I went about the same process.

I just started researching some of the band's guitars that they used and the amps that they used.

And I was all set to have the electric guitar tone for Wonderwall in my pocket.

I wanted to have it there.

And so I did the research and I figured out what might have been used, what was probably used.

And then I listened to Wonderwall.

There's basically no electric guitar in it.

There's maybe one electric guitar part off to the left doing some stuff that you can hear sometimes.

But I remember it definitely not being the prominent feature.

And there was no guitar solo that I remember.

So the prominent instrument... is an acoustic

guitar.

So I did something different for this, and I tried to match an acoustic guitar tone with just a little bit of research, and I'll show you what that is.

All right, acoustic guitar used to record Wonderwall.

And this is a prop store auction for this guitar, Oasis, the Nick Brine Collection, Noel Gallagher's Takamine FP-460SC acoustic guitar, Used at Rockfield Studios during the recording sessions for What's the Story? Morning Glory to compose Wonderwall.

Stage used for MTV Unplugged and Nebworth.

This guitar comes from the collection of music producer and sound engineer Nick Brine, who has worked with many artists including Oasis, The Verve, and Stone Roses.

Brine was gifted this guitar by Noel during the recording sessions.

of Be Here Now, which this guitar was also used for, in 1996 in Abbey Road's Studio 2.

A fight broke out between the Gallagher brothers during these recording sessions, allegedly over a comment Noel made about Liam in the news.

Liam picked up a guitar, believing it was Noel's, and smashed it up.
