Ottawa Election 2026: Bob Bell, Orléans East-Cumberland Ward

Speaking, moving on to growth.

Picture your ward 10 years from now with council having made all the right calls.

Describe it.

What does it look like?

Yeah, so I mean, obviously the East extension is in ten years.

It better be working.

So you'll see we'll see that development happening around around the stations.

We'll see buildings going up.

It's ten years from now, so there's still going to be very much in construction.

But yeah, seeing that growth go where we where we all hope it's going to go, where we're planning for it to go.

And the other thing we're going to see is we're going to see finally the St. Joseph Corridor.

It spans two wards.

It's in Ward 1 and in Ward 2.

It's been a while.

We've had a plan to redevelop to make it, you know, more mixed-use development, less just like single-story commercial.

You can have, you know, units on top and businesses on the bottom.

And so we'll see that development starting to take off.

And then, you know, I think...

the other thing you'll see in our ward is hopefully in 10 years a lot less isolation i think we've we've seen that in the pandemic a lot of people have it just it happened right we all we all got very insular we got very uh isolated and still a lot of people are feeling that um the community associations are doing really good work uh the churches are doing really good work um over the next 10 years i hope to see that keep going and i hope to see you know our counselor's office support that hopefully with me in the seat yeah um But yeah, you know, hopefully we can see that isolation fade more and more as we move forward over the next 10 years.

Nice.

Touching on growth.

Yeah.
