But the central message is one that I think we're all facing, right? AI is here.

AI was something that initially was thought to be very futuristic, pie in the sky, something that could never deliver on many of the aims that it had set out for.

And part of what got me thinking about this was that I was in multiple meetings where we were treating AI like a single entity.

And to me, it always seemed like it was a bit more nuanced than just a simple question of should we or should we not AI? And I'll just talk just a little bit more just because a little bit of time has elapsed since I wrote the article.

These are people that are training the next generation, and they think that this is a movement that perhaps exceeds things that I got to see the internet really take off during my lifetime.

The people that I trained with would talk to me about using their slide rule back in the day, but I got to use a computer.

So these are big, big events, and these educators think that AI is going to exceed that.

I think the broader world has recognized that even though it can be a black box and there are many guardrails that we're going to need to erect, AI is certainly here and we have to deal with it.
