Stocks had their worst day today since July.

Inflation jumped month to month from three point four to three point seven percent, and oil hit its highest level in a month today.

Rippling through the economy, says ABC's Olivia Rubin.

Energy prices up twenty percent year to year.

Fuel oil up seventy-four percent.

Airfare, twenty-two percent.

Electricity, four point four percent.

Of course, there are other areas seeing increases as well.

According to this report, food up two point five percent.

The price of eating out up three point five percent.

Apparel up three point four percent, but there are some bright spots, too.

Used cars and trucks down one point five percent, so certainly increases across the board, and a lot of it driven, uh, by the war in Iran and those rising fuel costs.
