We took on a client a while back in, I think it was financial services.
Their brand had seriously drifted.
It came up in a conversation.
And if you looked at all of their web properties across their ecosystem, you actually wouldn't be able to tell it was the same company.
And here's the part that people underestimate.
It's never that someone swapped the logo.
It's that every channel got written by a different person, different department, and no one shared the source.
They're all just doing their own thing.
So this stuff tends to drift years before anyone even figures this out.
By the time that people are noticing it, your clients have noticed it, and it's everywhere all at once.
