Ryan Fox's Win, Unique Clubs at The Open, & MGA State Amateur Preview

I think we do have golf.

[laughs]

So golf.

Uh, it is a big day for golf, um, and probably my favorite championship to watch-

Yeah

... um, is the Open.

And so we had that this weekend, and it turned into a really, really, really fun tournament.

Um, it had all kinds of names, uh, fluctuating up near the top of the leaderboard.

We had rules situations going on.

We had all kinds of theater.

And then we also had a winning putt on the 18th hole, um, to, you know, claim the Claret Jug by Ryan Fox.

So just give me, just give me your kind of quick takeaway from the weekend before we start, uh, getting into the deep discussion.

Yeah, I think I was worried at the start of the week that it was gonna get away from them.

You know, there was a lot of low scores on the first couple of days, and I was worried that we was gonna see a, a, one of the lower scoring Opens.

Yeah.

Which isn't, which is never good.

Um, but it, it played out really nicely.

I mean, there was some really low scores, three 62s was nuts.

Right.

Um, but yeah, I think overall, I think it, Birkdale did show its teeth in the last couple of days, and it, uh, it stood up to b- to show why it's an Open venue.

Yeah, it was, um, I th- it was fascinating how the tournament, the winning score was 10 under par, but you had three golfers shoot 62.

Uh, so clearly there was scores to be had out there-

Yeah

... and, you know, on a few of the different days.

Um, but, uh, nonetheless, great golf, and, um, let's dive into, you know, where it really was, to me, one of the most fun majors I've watched in a while.
