He was the medalist that year.

Several other great friends of this show were in that graduating class, including John Inman, Scott Gump, Clark Dennis, and Barry Cheeseman, who's going to be back on the show in a couple of weeks, plus Brandel Chamblee, John Daly, Jerry Howes, Bobby Clampett, so many other great players.

And you finished tied for fourth that time around.

What do you remember about that week?

Well, and, and you know who I, I ...

I mean, again, I, I, I'm on Team Brandel Chamblee when he, when it comes to this, and he's taken a lot of shit online, but I think he's a bright man.

And a few, I guess a month ago, I was watching Golf Central and Brandel Chamblee, who I love.

I know a lot of guys hate him, but I just think he's super smart and bright.

I think he's not only one of the best golf commentators or sports guys.

At the very least, a major.

And maybe the players or something, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But Chambly's point was this, all of these numbers.

And I mean, you might you may maybe you know that.

Next thing, Tour Championship comes on and it's just talking about Scheffler, how he's played, the stats of him.

Chambly steps up.

That's just a repeat of what's happened already at Eastlake.

And basically, it's just Chambly telling me statistically how Scotty Scheffler is the man.

Great information.

I just wanted to watch the last seven holes of this golf tournament.

Well, and he was in, he was in quite a funny mood.

It was like he, he got on the set, uh, with, to inter- you know, it was, it was Rich Lerner and, and Brandel Chamblee.

I don't know if that was technically called Live From or just Golf Central, but whatever it was.

It was Live From.

And, and, and I say this.

If, uh, the Golf Channel's announcers, like Brandel Chamblee are forced, I won't be able to get it because I can't tolerate this guy.

Damn it.

That was going to be fun to me.

But Brian Rolapp was on the Live From set with Rich Lerner and Brandel Chamblee, uh, after he gave his press conference.

And there was a couple of things that he said that really stood out to me.

And one, I'll give him credit.

Like, it was ...

I don't wanna say it was a heated interview, but Brandel Chamblee did not pull any punches.

Tell me why this is better than what we've had over the last 20 years.

And es- essentially, he said exactly what you just said.

Well, it's earned, uh, because, uh, I'm telling you, you look refreshed after a couple weeks away from Brandel.

Uh, you, you feel-

So the BGA Tour and the DP World Tour are under, a- under a huge pressure now going forward as a result.

So be interesting to see how that's all gonna be navigated.

navigated.You know, Paul, i- it's inarguable about the, the windfall, and I, I, I know that you've been part of these conversations, particularly when, when Brandel has taken this stance about being on LIV for certain players has been to the detriment, uh, of whether it be their growth, their major championship performance.

Koepka won a, a major while being a member at LIV.

Well, other than, um, Brandel Chamblee, uh, is [laughs] w- never, uh, never steps back from it in the States.

But nobody talks about that anymore.

The, the Saudis are welcome in the, the higher echelons of all sport now wherever they want, want to go, and LIV did its job in that way, I guess.
