What's up, man? How was it? What did you do? It was good.
11:37
Yeah, the last time I was on here, we were talking about me going on sabbatical and what sabbaticals are and what they aren't.
11:43
It's not a three-week paid vacation for ministers, but there's some intentionality behind it, and it's biblical in terms of not only is – you know, honor a commandment to keep the Sabbath and honor the seventh day of the week or whatever day you take Sabbath, but also the earth groans for Sabbath.
12:01
There's years of Jubilee and years of every seventh year, take some time.
12:06
And so, yeah, As a policy and a suggestion and encouragement from my denomination and my synod and my congregation, every seven years, roster leaders, ministers, pastors are encouraged to take a three-month sabbatical to do some rest, renewal, refocus, some continuing education, reflection, be re-energized so they can hop back into their called context and keep doing the best work that they can do in terms of shepherding people and ministering and being a leader within their congregation and the whole church, capital C.
12:41
And so that's what I did.
12:43
This is my second one.

30 MINS LATER

42:56
Nope, I'm not going to do it.
44:32
Yeah, come here.
44:33
You're welcome.
44:34
Yeah, I will say a part of the apathy part, like I went into college undergrad thinking marine biology because I wanted to like surf and play with dolphins.
44:41
And then I went to a lab.
44:43
Yeah.
44:43
And then I was like, I took a lab and had to take some chemistries about it.
44:47
It's like, I'm not going to do that.

14 MINS LATER

59:00
And I want to come out on top as opposed to coming in with a conversation.
