I appreciate
19:39
it.
19:39
Well, we've already ordered.
19:41
Since he has an appointment, we've got the brake pads.
19:44
We have everything there in case we have to do a complete, I mean, you know, spindle-out rebuild.
19:51
Okay.
19:51
and then we can send back the parts we don't use.

7 MINS LATER

27:06
You put that money away, and then you've got money set aside that you can do some of this maintenance with.
3:23
Oh, and I can imagine if you've got a whole fleet of diesel buses or trucks, if this is an opportunity to save money and only spend $1.75 a gallon, that's a huge difference.
3:34
And there was two different box vans there.
3:37
One was a Ford F650 with the big box, looking like about a 30-foot box, something you'd deliver furniture, heavy cargo with, less than 26,000 GVW type truck.
3:49
Ran great on natural gas.
3:51
And then they had one of those cab over General Motors.
3:56
I can't remember what the model number is, but a little small cab over with about a 14 foot box on it.
4:02
Again, delivery vehicle.

10 MINS LATER

13:38
Well, you shouldn't want to wait too long to replace your brakes because then you potentially create an even more expensive
15:48
In many cases, you wouldn't want to.
15:51
We don't recommend it.
15:53
I'm back to 5,000s, and if I have people that want to extend, I'd go to 7,500, especially on compressed natural gas.
16:02
Because it's cleaner burning.
16:04
It looks like brand new oil when we dump it out.
16:07
But still, what I worry about, all these engines, especially the Fords with the V6 in them and the turbos, You've got all these little valves and stuff that rely on oil pressure to control things, and then also you've got turbos.
16:24
And when you shut the engine off, you shut the oil pump off, and then that hot turbo's got to wind down with whatever oil's in it.

10 MINS LATER

26:53
And if that gets into your ABS dump valves, if that gets back into your ABS pump, the money you save by not spending the cash for someone that knows to pop the bleeder and make sure they're getting that old fluid out is going to evaporate quick because you can spend hundreds of dollars per dump valve and you can spend thousands of dollars on an ABS pump that you could take out if you put that debris back up into them.
18:05
That's a
18:06
good deal for them.
18:07
And this has been back even far as the early 80s is when all this started with them.
18:12
So they've had a lot of people thinking about this for a long time, and it wasn't an easy go.
18:17
In the beginning, there was a few struggles with some of the buses.
18:22
They did an engine conversion plan one time, and that engine...
18:26
Didn't last like it should have.

12 MINS LATER

30:03
