So what are your thoughts on, on that?
19:04
Yeah, I mean, the...
19:05
It's s- what's, what's behind you, you on the, the monitor there.
19:08
You know, we're, we're all expected to live longer.
19:11
Technology, uh, is accelerating, uh, medical advancements.
19:15
I mean, I'm sure you've heard about some of the cancer vaccine breakthroughs that have, have recently, um, occurred and, you know, um, I think it will be very, very likely that we're all gonna have the opportunity to live much longer than we currently do because of, because of science and technology breakthroughs.
19:32
So how do you afford that? So Fidelity publishes, um, an updated report every summer.

10 MINS LATER

29:27
So when she retires someday, I'm sure she's gonna have to, like, kind of do the medical stuff on her own, you know? So is this the kind of thing that someone in that situation, I know you don't know everything about her situation, but just as a general, they would be good to do so that they have this Bitcoin invested at an older age?
10:03
So that's a lot of the root cause for me is then ultimately the money being broken.
10:08
Yeah, I'll add to that.
10:09
You know, I spent 20 years in the device industry, medical device industry, Nick.
10:13
And so I was at the point of care with the companies that we launched.
10:16
And, you know, the thing about surgical medical device in the U.S., again, we lead in innovation, right? And no one would ever disparage innovation and new technology as it relates to health.
10:28
But what we've created is a system that largely functions on innovation around reimbursements, right? And so you mentioned Medicare rates, but some of these commercial contracts, their percent of bill charges are cost plus.
10:43
And the more they charge for an implant in some of these contracts, Um, the more they get reimbursed and think about that.

20 MINS LATER

31:12
So maybe, Stu, you can address the second part of that question on unit of account and how folks are thinking about Bitcoin versus dollars within their HSA.
4:19
So I think it's a great starting point to just clarify exactly what it is and what benefits it gives for someone to have tax-advantaged savings.
4:30
Yeah, so the health savings account, the HSA, has been around since 2003.
4:36
It was brought into law under the George W. Bush administration.
4:39
And ostensibly what it allows, Lynn, is for an individual or a family to invest – tax advantage dollars into an account designated for eligible health and wellness expenses.
4:54
Who determines that eligibility? What makes something eligible? The IRS updates a growing list of eligible health and wellness expenses every year.
5:05
And so when the HSA first was launched, you can imagine that that list was more streamlined, had less that was covered.
5:15
And now you can use your HSA for pretty much anything from a health and wellness standpoint.

41 MINS LATER

45:54
to do for you and John? How are you defining success? Like if you were to look out five years from now, what would it be to have Sound HSA a success? What does that mean? Is it number of members? Is it the growth in the accounts that your clients have? Personally, what would that definition be for you and John?
