Our third pillar is accessible, effective services and programs.

This one, it kind of s- can sometimes sound a little bit like pillar two, but it's slightly different.

This one is really thinking about the many people, communities, and businesses that most benefit from ODO's programs, and that could range from energy efficiency to nuclear safety to, to building codes, in- involving people who may not be technical experts or part of the energy industry.

And at the same time, ODO is a key resource for researchers and energy and fuel companies and interest groups that might expect more advanced levels of information or analysis.

And so this pillar is really focused on how we need to design and implement each service and program to meet those specific needs of the intended user, and then actively reach out to those who can benefit from services and programs.

One of the newer programs at the Oregon Department of Energy is the Community Navigator Program, which came about through a legislative concept and bill process that ODO actually did a few years ago, and it came from a similar underlying need where we knew that there was gonna be new funding through the federal government.

We saw a trend where new programs were being created at ODO, especially focused on helping communities access more clean energy resources like heat pumps and, and, and governments in trying to make their tribe or their local city more resilient.

And so this pillar really builds on efforts undertaken in the previous strategic plan to enhance our data collection and analysis skills and tools, and make sure we're using the best, latest technology and best practices to do that.
