... you know, we have some, we have some, uh, clients who unfortunately were, were, have been rough sleeping.

We find out that they've been rough sleeping outside because, um, perhaps they have just no place to stay, or they've, they've gone to, to different tr- uh, transition homes or shelters, um, but didn't, didn't like staying there.

And then they ha- they kind of just decided to be out on their own.

So, so yeah, there are certain things that just need to be quite foundational, kind, foundational in terms of thinking about your release.

So, [cleans throat] um, in, for, for inmates that we know that have such needs, we, we definitely do, um, have a greater intensity of support for them.

Uh, so for instance, we have, uh, this, um, framework called the Through Care Management Services for Elderly Offenders, uh, TMSEO, uh, and it starts from in-care, where there's a caseworker, a counselor who is able to come in, um, talk to them.

Does that happen?

Yeah.

Um, again, like it's just even, uh, uh, I think even with Shopping for Fangs, that when, when we released it, nobody was...

We were like, "What, what, what, what is this thing about?" [laughs] It's like, you know, why these a- why these peop- So I was just reading back, like, a, I would say a, a review I forgot from, like, San Francisco Chronicle, and, and the critic had no idea what it was about.

Said, "Well, there's some Asian American people in it, but that's kind of...

They, they look kinda cool and interesting, but that's about it." And they really didn't get, like, a little bit more deeper what the movie is really about.

And I think that, I, I think that a lot of times with film, film criticism is sort of like...

I honestly think because I, you know, did criticism for literary criticism, I don't think, like, film criticism is necessarily like real criticism.

At the same time, what about the people bringing this to life? Like, what can we do to layer this? What can we do, like, to make sure this is a felt experience as opposed to just, like, something really glossy that they can put out for, like, a summer temp fill?
