I'm going to guess that challenge, Peter, that's faced in South Australia that Mark's outlined is probably pretty consistent across every state, including WA?
9:44
Yes, I completely agree with Mark that innovation is everywhere.
9:47
Like we'd have over a thousand REDCap instances, which is clinicians building little registries or little workflows that support them in what they do.
9:57
The issue is scaling, and you can't scale if you're not building those innovations using reusable tools to support workflows where the workflow patterns are very similar across different specialties for very similar use cases in many ways, which is where you need RESTful web services.
10:15
And that's where FHIR is going to make a big difference for us, I think.
10:18
But yes, there is a real important couple of elephants in the room.
10:23
One is What's the posture of the large EMR vendors that we're all, WA are in the process of probably signing up to if our procurement goes properly, but the other jurisdictions, particularly East Coast and South Australia, Northern Territory have already signed up to.
14:24
We see loads of very small projects, initiatives that are highly successful for getting the job done for what's right in front of them and sometimes in order to do this sort of stuff we have to pause some of those or we have to say hey how do we wrap that into this new future and those can be difficult and challenging conversations to have when there's a real patient and personal need to solve these problems today.
