Mm.
26:19
And then, you know, and I'm a very skeptical person, so Kurthy led the way in this with her Carol, with telling, you know, telling Carol's story.
26:27
She's telling me about her own retreats, and I'm just a skeptical person by nature.
26:33
And, and so I went on a retreat with her, and I have...
26:38
Uh, uh, not to be corny, but at some point when it took effect, I felt like it came in...
26:45
I literally said to it, "Come into my heart and heal it," and I was radiating with love.
26:51
And I felt like I was seeing, for the first time in my life, I was seeing myself the way my friends see me, the way other people see me, as opposed to the way I see myself, and it changed everything.

30 MINS LATER

Mm-hmm
10:29
yeah sure so as documentary filmmakers how did you arrive at the conclusion that this is more than anecdotal uh experiences where you know this psychedelic work for this person with this condition you get enough of those and it be it becomes compelling but as documentary filmmakers Do you eventually reach a point where you say, is this really a trend? Is this validity? And how do we sort of tap into and maybe merge with what the mainstream view of mental health care might be?
11:08
I'm going to answer that question with, with how I got involved.
11:13
And so.
11:15
Curthy was filming with Carol on her own.
11:18
And, and meanwhile, she had been absorbing some, a lot of doing some reading, going to conferences.
11:23
I read one of the books that, and I found it totally fascinating.
11:27
It pretty much centered around the MDMA studies and the main figures that were involved.
15:37
And that was the wake up call to everybody working in psychedelic research, but also to us as filmmakers, we realized that people needed to understand what was being discussed here.
