Right.
16:28
Yeah.
16:29
No, I think, uh, for me, as I was exploring this idea of collections, materiality became a way for understanding how, uh, a collection could be transformed or transition into something new, uh, while still retaining the, the lively and, and the, the essence that it, uh, originally had.
16:52
Uh, one example of that is, uh, a collection that I started, uh, near the beginning of this program, where I was documenting and gathering, uh, any variation of the word "thanks" or "thank you" that I saw printed on signage, uh, out in public or shared space.

And so the collection existed in one way as, as these digital photographs, uh, that were sort of framing these thank yous.
17:18
Uh, it existed as this, um, sort of, uh, decentralized network of physical signs that only really I and, and the other folks, uh, living on, on the unceded territories of Vancouver could see.
17:34
Um, but then also, um, as a designer, I was able to harness a lot the, the skills and the knowledge that I have in terms of material, uh, to try and, um, transform that collection into something new, either through weaving, through ceramics, through printmaking.

Yeah.
