So propensity score matching is one of the advanced statistical methods we use in order to estimate the effect of an intervention.

Uh, we do that by accounting for differences in several baseline characteristics.

So for instance, in this study, we calculated the propensity scores to balance thirty-six variables in the background, and those are in table one of the, uh, paper for our listeners.

And then we perform one-to-one matching, so each patient, for instance, in the bypass group is paired with a very similar patient in the endovascular group.
