Lily Houghton and I took out a pitch and, you know, what you're talking about, we sort of experienced, which was just, like, people wanted to hear the pitch because they were like, "Oh, it's like Mean Girls but a slasher," you know? Um, but then when we were, like, getting into the deeper themes of femininity and female relationships, um, something we were sort of asked about, particularly by male producers, were like, "I thought we were supposed to be making movies about, like, women loving other women." And this kinda goes chaotic at the end, you know? And we were like, "What?" We're like, "Who said they didn't love each other?" Like, the whole point of this is that they are trying to uplift each other, but they are doing that within, you know, an innately capitalist, competitive environment, you know? Like, and Lily Houghton and I were like, "Look, we wish it, it ended differently, but we feel like we would be putting a bow on something that is still an issue." Like, women are still trying to support each other and uplift each other.
